The obtained results have shown that the melody functioning in the military speech depends on the gender of a speaker. The analyzed speeches of the female-officers differ from the speeches of their male-colleagues predominantly by the use of various intonation contours in all three structural parts of the speech, the location of frequency maxima in the syntagmas pre-head and wider frequency variation range.ukprosodymilitary discoursegendermelodyintonation contourfundamental frequencyArticleС. 54-58
