By using organic coating technology, the paper demonstrates the possibility of obtaining highly water-repellent surface coatings based on expanded perlite and regenerated adsorbent. The study characterizes the properties of the coatings through various techniques and concludes that they serve as a good base coat for creating superhydrophobic volumetric hierarchical coatings.
