The main paraverbal means of aggressive rhetoric are seen as the rhapsodical prosody and of the co-speech gesture of the right hand. Waving the right hand, throwing the right hand forward has a long historical and cultural semiotic background associated mostly with the Roman salute, but later it received a negative connotation in the Deutscher Gruß. In modern public communication this gesture is desemantisized; it plays the role of an accentuating gesture and is used by politicians as a way of strengthening conveying their aggressive message.rupolitical discourseaggressive rhetoricparaverbalprosodicrhapsodical prosodyco-speech gestureПаралингвальные особенности агрессивной риторики в публичном политическом дискурсеArticleС. 130-133
