One of the popular directions in geoinformatics is the solution of problems of analysis and modeling of geodata in order to optimize the strategy of behavior or the use of available resources. Such tasks include: geostatistical analysis of deposits; open pit mining planning, quarry design and mass explosions; mining and geometric analysis and optimization of open pit boundaries; visualization of the results of monitoring of technological and natural processes. Currently, mining companies are one of the main consumers of the powerful mapping, spatial analysis and modeling capabilities that geoinformatics provides.
