Background. Plant-microbial fuel cell (PMFC) is an innovative biotechnology for the environmentally safe bioelectricitygeneration. The widespread use of bioelectrical systems(biosystems)is hindered by their insuf-ficient efficiencydue to limiting knowings of the relationship between bioelectricity generationand features of their biotechnological components.
