Improving the efficiency of China’s energy sector based on Industry 4.0 principles

The thesis aims to justify and develop methodological foundations and practical recommendations to improve the efficiency of China’s energy sector through Industry 4.0 technologies amid digital transformation trends. It explores key technologies (smart grids, IoT, AI), their role in boosting energy efficiency, and proposes an integrated model for implementation. The object is China’s energy sector; the subject — the theoretical and practical aspects of applying Industry 4.0 to manage energy resources. Methods include analysis, synthesis, comparison, statistics, and forecasting. The study draws on data from Chinese ministries, the IEA, and international publications. Practical value includes strategic recommendations for policy and business, tools for managing digitalization, and adaptation of international best practices. Four research outputs were prepared, including three conference presentations and one professional publication.
