    Assessment of the efficiency of metal corrosion inhibitors for water circuit systems in municipal utilities

    The article considers the problem of corrosion in aquatic environments, which is relevant for water circulation systems in municipal services. The effectiveness of various corrosion inhibitors, in particular OEDPC, TPFN, NTMPK, GMFN, hypan and their compositions with zinc ions (Zn²⁺), in tap water of Kyiv city was studied by massometry. It was found that some of the studied compounds, in particular hypan and GMFN in combination with Zn²⁺, provide a high degree of protection of St3 steel - up to 96%. It was found that the effectiveness of inhibitors depends on their concentration and the presence of a synergistic effect when used in combination with metal ions. The results obtained indicate the prospects for the use of new composite reagents to prevent corrosion in water supply systems.
