    The presented guide outlines the main provisions for performing practice lessons tasks, which are made based on the special application software Codesys for programming logic controllers. Also, different procedures of logic algorithm synthesis are presented and explained, including part of automation task of the pumps, lift and compressors control. A simplified procedure of hardware configuration of distributed automation systems and development of automation, and control systems with diagram examples is presented as well. The educational edition for solving application tasks of automation contains basic logic systems synthesis procedures, examples of realization of different automation algorithms, appendixes with examples of electrical diagrams with PLC components, and a list of recommended literature.

    Cross-disciplinary terminological competence for esp students majoring in power engineering

    The authors suggest ways of increasing the efficiency of forming interdisciplinary terminological competence of future specialists in the field of power engineering. The conducted analysis allows concluding that, despite a significant number of fundamental studies of professional terminology, the problem of interdisciplinary terms of the energy sector necessitates further research on this issue.
