Theoretical and Empirical Issues in the Change of Phonetics of Sound: A 21st Century Viewpoint

In the present paper an attempt has been made to trace out the changes in pronunciation and sound speech in the field of phonetics. As we are familiar that nowadays in the 21st century, we can perceive drastic changes in the production of speech sounds in phonetics. It has long been witnessed that speakers produce and listeners perceive non-random, systematic phonetic variants that serve as the raw material for sound changes in linguistics.

Understanding the Sounds of a Language through Phonology: a Fundamental Aspect

In the present paper an attempt has been made to highlight the importance of phonology in linguistic studies. By way of analising phonemes, allophones, and phonological rules as well as their role in the sound system of a language teaching and learning, it is pointed out that their understanding can enable the language learners to find out and differentiate lexical units with similar language sounds but having different meanings.
