Obstacles in the formation of a healthy lifestyle among students of the first and second years of technical universities
(Український державний університет імені Михайла Драгоманова, 2024) Mykhailenko, Vadym; Soha, Serhii; Dobrovolskyi, Volodymyr
Today there is a problem associated with the decline in the physical condition and health of the younger generation. Modern conditions and trends in the development of society lead to a deterioration in the general health of students. This isprimarily due to changes occurring in the social, environmental and economic spheres, as well as a lack of understanding of the role of physical education by modern youth. Low levels of physical activity lead to a decrease in the level of health of modern society. The state of health itself is determined by a person’s attitude to his own lifestyle, understanding of the role of physical culture and knowledge of its fundamentals, as well as their possible application in everyday life. Human health is a rather complex phenomenon. According to the definition, health is the state of a person when he is satisfied with his own physical, psychological and social well-being, and is not an indicator of the absence of disease. A physically healthy person is calm, has a favorable mood, is active, and is successful in his professional activities, socialization, and personal development. The attitude of modern youth towards physical education and sports is largely negative. This is due to a lack of understanding of the role of physical exercise and its effectiveness as a health factor. Many students believe that physical education is something negative, intrusive, obligatory and burdensome. Many people do not understand that physical exercise is an effective means of strengthening and improving thehuman body. Every society, regardless of place of residence, places great hopes on the younger generation and wants to see them healthy, strong, able to work and defend their homeland. That is why efforts should be directed towards the physical education of the younger generation, children, students, precisely at that age when a person begins to define himself in the formation and strengthening of his personality in society, when basic habits and attitudes are formed.

Pedagogical management of students' physical potential in modern conditions
(Український державний університет імені Михайла Драгоманова, 2025) Dobrovolskyi, Volodymyr; Mykhailenko, Vadym; Soha, Serhii
At the beginning of the 21st century, the importance of pedagogical management as an important component of the educational process in the system of physical education of non-physical education profiles of higher educational institutions has significantly increased, which in turn contributes to achieving the desired result and to a certain extent guarantees its success.Starting from the second half of the 20th century, the role of health-improving physical activity has been increasing, which is due to the following factors: the need to implement effective mechanisms for the prevention of chronic non-communicable diseases, which have become the main cause of premature mortality of people; increasing the negative impact on human health due to a decrease in the volume and intensity of physical activity due to the introduction of automated production, an increase in the share of mental labor in the structure of labor activity, and also due to increased comfort of vehicles, improvement of household appliances, development of the sphere of public services, etc.; low level of involvement of people in specially organized physical activity (until the second half of the 20th century, sports were mostly practiced only by young men and boys, while women, disabled people, pensioners, and socially vulnerable citizens were deprived of such an opportunity, which contradicted the general trends in the development of civilization and did not comply with the basic provisions of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights); the availability of scientific research results that substantiate the effectiveness of using motor activity to increase functional and physical indicators and prevent a number of diseases in people. The modern system of physical education is characterized by the continuity of the process, has a health-oriented orientation and thus determines the "final" result of pedagogical management at each stage of physical education of school and student youth, ‒achieving optimal physical condition as a criterion for the effectiveness of solving health-improving tasks.Another component of pedagogical management is the physical condition, which is characterized by low indicators of schoolchildren and a tendency to even greater deterioration is observed: currently only about 7.0% of graduates of secondary schools are conditionally healthy, the rest have various nosologies of the disease.

Study of psychological characteristics of learning stress in students
(Український державний університет імені Михайла Драгоманова, 2024) Soha, Serhii; Mykhailenko, Vadym; Dobrovolskyi, Volodymyr
The degree of influence of stressors on our body can be different: from mild excitement in anticipation of, say, a trip on vacation, to a severe psychosomatic disorder of post-traumatic stress. In any case of manifestation of stress, it affects all components of our individuality (individuality itself), such as memory, thinking, language, emotional and volitional sphere. However, this does not mean that stress is only evil, trouble, it is also the most important tool for training and hardening a person, since stress helps to increase the resistance of the psyche and the body in general, training its adaptive mechanisms. Stress is our faithful ally in continuous adaptation to any changes in the environment. For some students, student life is associated with student societies, communication with interesting people, various activities and fun. For others, it is a serious test, a life change, a difficult life situation to which it is necessary to adapt. Students are young and face various problems, new learning conditions require more independence, responsibility, self-organization, and not all students are ready to solve numerous problems and tasks. Which gives life. In any case, studying at a higher educational institution is stressful for many students. The student needs to overcome difficulties, master new roles and modify old ones, adapt to new life conditions. There is a lot of evidence that chronic stress is a companion of student life. Researchers note that the causes of stress in students are related to problems of finances, housing, security, etc. The stress experienced by students can affect learning (acquiring, applying, and processing knowledge), which hinders academic performance. Problems with academic performance also create discomfort, as a result of which general stress increases.

The social significance of a healthy lifestyle in the context of the everyday reality of student youth
(Український державний університет імені Михайла Драгоманова, 2025) Soha, Serhii; Mykhailenko, Vadym; Dobrovolskyi, Volodymyr
The work substantiates the importance of sociological research related to the study of the problems of a healthy lifestyle of student youth. The results of a study conducted in September 2024 are presented. Relevance the study is determined by the existing contradiction between the need for health and maintaining a healthy lifestyle among student youth. The object of thestudy is 1st and 2nd year students of NTUU "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute", the goal is to identify the connection between health, a healthy lifestyle and its elements. Work results can be used in physical education curricula to improve the physical fitness of students, the data obtained are able to illustrate the need to develop special programs to solve the problem of poor health in practice.Human health is one of the most significant factors influencing the functioning and development of society. Health is a state when a person can optimally perform all the social and biological functions inherent in him as a socio-biological being. Often, a person’s health status becomes the reason for actions that affect the general situation in the country.A sick person seems to fall out of public life, that is, he does not fulfill his functions as a mother/father, boss/subordinate, citizen, etc. In today's world, the impact of health on society is most clearly illustrated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Many countries suffered large material losses due to the cessation of the tourism sector and some areas of the service sector, which resulted in a decrease in the standard of living of certain categories of the population. It is also impossible not to note the impact of measures to combat the spread of the disease (switching to remote work and learning, social distancing, wearing masks) on the psychological state of people deprived of their usual socialization.
