Identifikation der Charismatischen Merkmale in Prosodie und Gestik der Grassroots-Politiker

This paper presents a methodology for identification of the charismatic characteristics in the prosody and gesture of potential grassroots politicians. The important point here is the moment of the first public attribution of charisma, i.e. the initial recognition of a public person as a charismatic leader in media or in social networks. Discursive portrayal of potential charismatic leaders in German and Ukrainian grassroots initiatives and singling out of their contrastive features are based on four parameters (biological, social, psychological, discursive) that form their charismatic discourse portraits. A decisive importance is given to the rhetoric of public appearances, expressive combative position, prosodic and co-speech gesture characteristics, which are perceived and attributed to as charisma.
