A.The coefficients of mutual coupling of rectangular dielectric resonators in open space are calculated under the condition of their rotation relative to one of the axes of a given rectangular coordinate system. Analytical formulas for complex coupling coefficients are obtained. The expressions found give complete information about the frequencies and Q-factor of coupled oscillations of dielectric resonators. The dependences of the coupling coefficients on the angles of rotation and spatial coordinates of resonators in the case of excitation of the main magnetic types of natural oscillations in them are considered. The concept of pseudo-rotation of resonators is introduced. Cases are noted when the pseudo-rotation of the resonators does not lead to a change in the coupling coefficients. The dependences of the coupling coefficients for different types of resonator pseudo-rotations are investigated. New integral representations are derived for the mutual coupling coefficients of rectangular dielectric resonators provided that their axes rotate in open space. In particular cases of parallelism of the resonator axes of one of the coordinate axes, the analytical expressions found in the work coincide with those obtained earlier. For each case of rotation, approximate analytical formulas are found for the integral representations obtained in this work, expressed in terms of the spherical Hankel functions of the second kind. Comparison of calculations of coupling coefficients by integral formulas and approximate expressions is carried out. It is shown that the approximate expressions have acceptable accuracy for all the considered cases of rotations. The dependences of the coupling coefficients on the coordinates of the resonators are investigated. The regions are marked in which the found integral representations make it possible to correctly describe the coupling coefficients of rectangular resonators. In contrast to integral representations, approximate formulas are correct in the entire spatial region of resonator interaction. The results obtained make it possible to construct analytical models of antennas, multi-element arrays and devices of infrared and optical wavelength ranges, made with the use of rectangular dielectric resonators; significantly reduce computation timecompared to numerical methods and optimize complex multi-cavity structures of microwave and optical communication systems.Документ Відкритий доступ Rotations of Cylindrical Dielectric Resonators in a Rectangular Waveguide(КПІ ім. The dependences of the coupling coefficients on the angles of rotation and transverse coordinates of the resonator in the case of excitation of the main magnetic types of natural oscillations in them are considered. The dependence of the coupling value on the angles of rotation at the points of circular polarization of the fundamental wave of a rectangular waveguide is shown. The condition for the angle of rotation of the axis of the resonator, determined by the dimensions of the cross section of the waveguide and the frequency of the main type of natural oscillations, is also established, when fulfilled, the coupling coefficient becomes constant in the transverse plane of symmetry of the waveguide. New analytical expressions are derived for the mutual coupling coefficients of identical cylindrical dielectric resonators when their axes rotate relative to a rectangular waveguide. The dependences of the mutual coupling coefficients on the angles of rotation and coordinates of the resonators are investigated. Conditions are found under which the mutual coupling coefficients of two cylindrical resonators are independent of their transverse coordinate in the plane of symmetry of the waveguide. The reasons for the change in the sign of the coupling coefficients of the resonators during their rotation are discussed. The effect of the emergence of coupling extrema for different relative orientations of dielectric resonators is noted. In particular cases of parallelism of the resonator axes of one of the coordinate axes of the waveguide, the analytical expressions found in the work coincide with those obtained earlier. Ігоря Сікорського, 2023) Trubin, A. A.The problem of scattering of plane electromagnetic waves on lattices of spherical dielectric resonators (DRs) with low magnetic oscillations is considered. The results of theoretical calculations of complex coefficients of mutual coupling of spherical dielectric resonators in open space for cases of excitation of degenerate types of oscillations are presented. The expressions found coincide with those obtained earlier for the special case of oscillations of resonators excited along or perpendicular to the line connecting their centers. The main regularities of the change in the coupling coefficients with variations in the coordinates of the resonators in the transverse plane are considered. Analytical expressions for c-functions are found for the field of fundamental magnetic oscillations of a resonator and a plane wave in open space. On the basis of the obtained formulas, with the help of the perturbation theory, the characteristics of the scattering of plane waves on a square lattice of spherical DRs with basic degenerate magnetic oscillation types are calculated and studied. The distribution of the scattering field in the wave zone of the grating is studied for different angles of incidence. The regions of variation of the angles of incidence are determined, in which the scattering amplitude of a lattice constructed on the basis of spherical DRs differs most noticeably from DR lattices of other shapes with nondegenerate types of oscillations. The polarization characteristics of scattered waves in the far zone of the lattice are calculated. It is noted that, in contrast to the lattices of pseudorotating cylindrical DRs with the main magnetic types of oscillations, lattices based on spherical resonators are characterized by a more complex distribution of the polarization of scattered waves. In the wave zone of the lattice, scattered waves of all three types of polarization, linear, circular, elliptical, can be observed. The obtained results significantly expand the possibilities of developers, since allow us to create electrodynamic models of lattices, as well as other devices in the millimeter and infrared ranges, built on the basis of the use of spherical resonators with oscillations of the main types.
