dc.description.abstractother | Winglet are intended to improve the efficiency of fixed-wing aircraft by reducing inductive drag. Such devices increase the effective aspect ratio of a wing without materially increasing the wingspan. Winglets provide fuel efficiency of 3.5- 4.5% at cruising speed. For airplanes that often change the flight mode, the winglets are less effective. In order to increase the effectiveness of winglets on all modes of flight, the concept of adaptive winglets is developed. The concept of a winglet with the possibility of turning around the vertical axis of the aircraft. The adaptive winglets are designed to set the optimal angle of attack for the winglets on all flight modes of the aircraft, as well as to control the aircraft in the yaw and roll channel. The possibility of turning the winglets allows you to control the distribution of the lift force in the end part of the wing. | uk |
