dc.description.abstractotherThis article presents an analysis of how configuration parameters affect the cryptographic strength of a Duplex-Sponge-based pseudorandom number generator utilizing the Ascon permutation. The study examines the relationship between the size of the internal state, the balance between the rate and capacity parts, and the number of permutation rounds. A comparative evaluation of different configurations was conducted to determine the optimal trade-off between performance and security. Experimental results demonstrate how variations in these parameters influence statistical randomness, diffusion properties, and resistance to state-recovery attacks. The obtained results can be used to design adaptive and parameterized PRNG architectures optimized for specific cryptographic or hardware environments.
