dc.description.abstractotherThe paper attempts to study procrastination, a common behavior that affects adolescents and has cumulative negative impacts. Through a literature review, a sizable percentage of adolescents are chronic procrastinators, which increases their chance of suffering from mental conditions, including melancholy, anxiety, depression, and low self-confidence. It investigates the complex interplay between biological, cognitive, developmental, social, and psychological factors in procrastination. The study is performed within the scope of Speech Energetics Theory. This gives us grounds to refer to the problem of the regularities of redistribution of the speaker's emotional and pragmatic potential between verbal and non-verbal means of reflecting the contradictions unfolding in the sphere of the adolescent's spiritual being, which justifies or explains his/her procrastination state, as a promising area of study.
