Анотація
This paper deals with the issue of ambiguity of the main phonosemantic notions. Due to the profound interest in this field, more are more linguists are trying to contribute to the general theory of phonosemantics. Comparing approaches of two fundamental works dedicated to the problem of non-arbitrary link between the meaning and the form can help to fully comprehend this issue and by combining them together build up a new in-depth picture of sound symbolism.
