dc.description.abstractotherThe article is devoted to the study of non-verbal communication means, particularly prosodic ones, which realise communicative deviations in a literary work. The research is based on the short stories of the French science fiction writer Bernard Werber. It was found out that prosodic components of communicative deviations in the character’s speech help create vivid and authentic characters in the work, further depicting their personalities in general and communicative portraits in particular.
