dc.description.abstractotherThe paper substantiates a fragment of the linguistic classification of concepts to denote types of non-normative vocabulary. The model is based on the idea that the English language terminology has formed a triple chain of terms for lexical groups: argot - jargon - slang. By analyzing the content of the concepts covered by each lexical group, it has been established that, according to the criterion of increasing the degree of their deviation from the language norm, it is advisable to place this morphological series of lexical groups of non-normative vocabulary at the first hierarchical level of their classification. The necessity of arranging the types of nonnormative vocabulary into four hierarchical levels is also emphasized. The classification provides only a brief list of features of the existing subgroups of informal vocabulary terms, but even from this fragment it becomes clear that the tendency of repetition of the subgroups themselves in their more general groups is clear: 1. Argot, 2. Jargon and 3. Slang. The actual state of the study of the problem of non-normative vocabulary functioning is characterized by the degree of ccumulation of scientific knowledge that makes it possible to create a comprehensive system of verbal and digital classification of its current and future informal terminological apparatus.
