Анотація
The report describes the principles of contrastive studies of different languages at the level of phonology and suggests the methods of comparison of their phonological systems taking into account the hierarchy of distinctive features of phonemes. Based on ideal language type we develop also a step-by-step guide for the description of the phonological pecularities in the Ukrainian and German.
