Анотація
The paper advances the determination of main features of stressed vowels’ reduction in modern German. According to the results of auditory experiment aimed at distinguishing the stressed vowels’ realization in spontaneous speech, the author defines the degree of vowel phonemes differential markers’ in stability. The analysis has proved that some stressed vowels can undergo quantitative and qualitative reduction; the degree of the vowels differential markers weakens, especially with the increase of spontaneity of speaking.
