dc.description.abstractenThe ever-expanding flow of constantly updated information, the ever-increasing volume of scientific and technical literature, require from scientists to quickly find and process the information they need in native or foreign language. That is why one of the most important elements of the professional training of future specialists is the ability to process foreign scientific texts. This article covers the main psychological and pedagogical approaches to the problem of reading scientific texts in a foreign language; the factors that influence the development of students’ reading competence are analyzed; it presents the results of the study of the difficulties which students face while working on foreign language scientific texts, as well as the motives that encourage them to study foreign languages and to work on foreign-language scientific literature. The authors distinguish five learning styles of students' work on foreign scientific texts – Scientific – Field independent, Linguistic – impulsive, Theoretical – Reflective, Pragmatic – Intuitive, Active – Field dependent, and their expanded psychological characteristics. According to each student's style, the authors give teachers and students recommendations for more effective learning of a foreign language and work on foreign language scientific texts, and they were the basis of the program of psychological trainings. Results of the experiment confirmed that this program of psychological trainings increases the effectiveness of students’ work on foreign language scientific texts.uk
dc.description.abstractukСтрімкий потік інформації, що постійно оновлюється, невпинно зростаючий об’єм друкованої науково-технічної літератури вимагають від фахівців вміння швидко знайти та опрацювати необхідну для них інформацію з вітчизняних чи зарубіжних джерел. Саме тому одним з найважливіших елементів професійної підготовки майбутніх фахівців є вміння опрацьовувати іншомовні наукові тексти. У розділі висвітлено основні психолого-педагогічні підходи до проблеми читання наукових текстів іноземною мовою; проаналізовано чинники, що впливають на розвиток читацької компетенції студентів; представлено результати дослідження утруднень, з якими стикаються студенти в процесі опрацювання іншомовних наукових текстів, а також мотивів, що спонукають їх вивчати іноземні мови й опрацьовувати іншомовну наукову літературу. Автори виділяють п’ять учіннєвих стилів роботи студентів з іншомовними науковими текстами – науково-поленезалежний, лінгвістично-імпульсивний, теоретично-рефлективний, прагматично-інтуїтивний, дієво-полезалежний, і наводять їх розгорнуті психологічні характеристики. Відповідно до кожного учіннєвого стилю сформульовано рекомендації для більш ефективного вивчення іноземної мови й роботи з іншомовними науковими текстами, які були покладені в основу спеціально розробленої програми тренінгових занять. Проведений формувальний експеримент підтвердив доцільність використання розробленої програми тренінгових занять для підвищення результативності опрацювання студентами іншомовних наукових текстів.uk
