dc.description.abstractenThe article analyzes the attitude of the Seventh-day Adventist Church to the state and politics. The concepts of pacifism, ways of cooperation and social Adventist position in the context of state-church relations are considered. The reasons for the non-participation of the Adventist movement of Ukraine in the events of Euromaidan are analyzed. It is stated that Adventists do not take part in any political actions, since their main mission is to preach the Gospel to citizens of all countries of the world. The basis for the apolitical position of the Adventists is a series of biblical texts which state that the church should not interfere in political events. The attitude of the Ukrainian Adventists to the events of Euromaidan is grounded, which posits the following statement - every member of the church has the right to express his or her personal civic and political position. However, disciplinary measures were not applied to such church members who participated in Euromaidan events, and the Church’s leadership does not condemn their actions. However, it has been proven that the Church calls on all Adventists to exercise this right within the framework of law and respect for the individual, without in any way using violence. It is also revealed that Adventists consider social service to be one of the important areas of their mission. However, the social activity of the Church has nothing to do with politics, the overthrow of regimes and revolutions, but has always been appealing to man, protecting his rights and dignity.uk
dc.description.abstractukОсновна мета статті полягає у визначенні ставлення Церкви Адвентистів сьомого дня в Україні до Революції Гідності в 2013–2014 рр. Проаналізовано основні положення соціального вчення адвентистів з метою встановлення схожості та відмінності соціальних адвентистських принципів із цінностями Євромайдану. Розглянуто офіційні заяви керівництва конфесії в Україні щодо протестного руху. У висновках представлено та узагальнено реакції Церкви Адвентистів сьомого дня на події Євромайдану.uk
