В статті розглядаються особливості термінології Пантелеймона Куліша у маркуванні українського простору впродовж 1856– 1863 рр. Починаючи з відновлення дозволу на друкування творів під власним іменем (1856 р.) і до закриття часопису «Основа» (1863 р.), Куліш видав ряд творів, в яких послідовно замінював топоніми «Малоросія», «Південно-Західний край» на «Україну», а похідні від них етноніми – на «український». Наведено статистику, що демонструє послідовність використання антиімперських просторових маркерів за вказаний період. Розглянуто причини переходу Куліша до використання вказаної термінології.

Celebrations on the Occasion of the Transfer of the Relics of Volyn Saints from Kyiv to their Homeland in «Volyn Eparchial Herald»

The article identifies the main trends in covering the solemnities on the occasion of the transfer of the relics of St. Theodore (Theodosius, Prince of Ostroh) and St. Juliania Holshanska (princess from Dubrovytisa) in the pages of the «Volyn Eparchial Herald» – the principal Orthodox publication of the eparchy and province. It was established that, the publications about the solemn celebrations marking the transfer of relics of St. Theodosius of Ostroh and St. Juliania of Holshany from the Kyiv Caves Lavra to towns and villages in Volyn in the «Volyn Eparchial Herald» encompassed several key aspects. The authors opted for a lofty, solemn tone of narration, using emotive, emotionally charged language, and employing numerous epithets to underscore the grandeur, magnificence, and spiritual significance of these ceremonies. They emphasized the scale and unity of the celebrations, highlighting the large number of participants from various segments of the population and ethnic groups, symbolizing the unity of Orthodox believers around the relics. The organization of events and the role of clergy and church brotherhoods were highly praised. The celebrations were viewed not only as religious events but also as affirmations of Orthodoxy and Russian statehood in the western lands. Therefore, these publications served as a means of popularizing Orthodox relics, consolidating believers around the Orthodox Church, and strengthening its political and ideological positions in Volyn during the corresponding historical period. Such perspectives for further research can be outlined: in-depth study of the role of relic transfers of saints in shaping local religious identity and strengthening the position of Orthodoxy in Volyn during this period; analysis of the impact of the described solemnities on interfaith relations in the Volyn Eparchy and their perception among representatives of other confessions; comparison of relic transfer solemnities with similar events in other regions or dioceses; examination of the perception of such solemnities among the local population through memoirs.

Christian votive crafts in pre-soviet and post-soviet Ukraine

Small votive offerings, such as metal or wax figures or various pieces of fine jewellery, are a common way to venerate Christian sacred objects (Catholic, Orthodox, Greek Catholic or Armenian). Countless believers from different social backgrounds placed them side by side with specially made reliquaries, shrines, frames and icon diadems. This tradition was determined not only by internal Church rules but also by state policy (for example, in 1722 the Most Holy Governing Synod of the Russian Empire issued a decree on the removal of votive offerings from icons and the use of these items for the Church’s needs. This decree also came into effect in the Ukrainian lands that were part of the empire). The research aim of this paper is to compare, for the first time in Ukrainian historiography, the role of votive crafts in pre-Soviet and post-Soviet Ukraine. The paper is based on the principle of historicism, synthesis, analysis, generalisation, and retrospective and comparative historical methods. Since the 17th century, information has appeared in various sources about votive offerings specially made from silver or gold to be hung beside shrines or icons. This refers to images of body parts and visceral organs, or human or animal figures. Evidence of the techniques used to make and decorate these votive offerings (casting, chasing, stamping, engraving, gilding, etc) from the 18th to the early 20th century has been confirmed. The craftspeople were both men.

Comparative Analysis of the Emotional I ntelligence Development of Adolescents with Different Levels of Psychological Competence

Within the proposed article, the focus is on the development of the emotional intelligence of adolescents and the impact of their psychological competenceon them.The authors state that the developed emotional intelligence provides a person with a good understanding and managingof his/heremotions and a compassionate attitude and flexible response to the emotional manifestations of people nearby. People with high emotional intelligence have developed self-awareness, self-control, social understanding and are able to manage relationships with other people. Generalization of the most famous scientific approaches to the study of emotional intelligence allowed to dwell on the model of emotional intelligence which in content and structure represents a set of such abilities: perception and identification of emotions; managing emotions and feelings, both of oneself and of others; understanding of emotions; facilitation of thinking. Human emotional intelligence is formed during his/herlife. Adolescence is the most sensitive to the development of emotional intelligence, because it is at this age period that intellectualization of all mental processes occurs, when "emotions can become intelligent" and "intelligencecan become emotional" due to the coordinated interaction of the right and left hemispheres of the brain. Emotionality plays an important role in the development of emotional intelligence. In adolescence, on the one hand, there is a complication and instability of the emotional sphere of personality, intensification of emotions and feelings, their intensity and diversity; and, on the other hand, the ability to self-regulate, the ability to slow them down with the help of willpower, are emerging and developing. This enables the teenager to consciously construct his / her self -concept, his / her own value system, personal outlook and develop his / her emotional intelligence. These data were confirmed by the experimental study, which was carried out by comparing two groups of adolescents: the Lyceum students –a close-knit student group and members of the circle of "Psychological Studies", who were able to increase the level of psychological competence through self -discovery and development of emotional sphere. The adolescents –members of the circle showed higher rates of most components’ development of emotional intelligence than the adolescents students of Berdiansk Lyceum, who hadn’t had this training. Thus, we are convinced that the emotional intelligence of adolescents can be developed under the condition of purposeful psycho-corrective influence, with the use of interactive methods

Comprehensive Psychological Analysis of The Features of Emotional Burnout Among IT Specialists: The Ukrainian Labor Market

The article includes an analysis of the symptoms (occurred at the stages of formation) of emotional burnout of IT workers in the labor market of Ukraine in accordance with experience in the profession, type of programming - BackEnd, FrontEnd and kind of work organization involving absence and presence of communication with the client within the project. The use of the method of Victor Boyko determined the symptoms of emotional burnout. The study involved 75 programmers, divided into three groups based on the duration of professional experience including up to 5 and 10 years, and more than 10 years. The study revealed the opposite trend between work experience and the main symptoms of emotional burnout occurring at the already formed stage and the phases of “resistance” and “exhaustion” marked by the decrease in the percentage of formed symptoms and increase in the percentage of symptoms at the stage of formation. The FrontEnd group demonstrated the most pronounced symptoms of emotional burnout as a manifestation of the simplification of emotional emphasis in the profession. The BackEnd showed the symptoms of emotional burnout as a manifestation of the simplification of professional responsibilities. The severity of symptoms of psychosomatic and psych vegetative disorders and self-dissatisfaction occurred in the FrontEnd group at the stage of symptoms formation of emotional burnout. The research did not show the already formed symptoms in this group. The project revealed a higher percentage of symptoms of emotional burnout in the phases of "resistance «and "exhaustion" in the group having no communication with the client, than in the group with communication with the client.
