Анотація
The paper presents the results of research touching upon prosodic characteristics of Winston Churchill's political speeches. The particular features being investigated are the peculiarities of pitch fluctuationas as well as different types of logical stressing. The interest to this topic is based on the popularity of Winston Churchill as a politician along with the desire to define which features of his lingusitic persona served as the basis for his popidarity.
