Анотація
The article outlines the differences in the implementation of melody in two functional styles: the literary and scientific ones in terms of the voiced texts of the tales and reports. It is proved that the key difference is in the allocation of the main information according to the content of the text. It is determined that a rising pitch is typical of reports in the thematic parts of the text, while in a short prose - in rhematic.
