Анотація
The paper deals with the auditory analysis of the tonal features of English urban static-and-dynamic landscape descriptions. The auditory analysis performed by phoneticians resulted in distinguishing the tonal parameters of urban landscape descriptions under study. They are: medium and raised ascending prehead; checked head, gradually descending stepping head and broken descending stepping head; low and medium falling terminal tone; narrowed tonal range in static parts and the medium, broadened and broad tonal range in dynamic parts; zero tonal interval between adjacent intonation groups and segments of their intonation contour.
