dc.description.abstractСтаття присвячена дослідженню англійської термінології у сфері нанотехнологій з акцентом на її структурно-семантичні особливості та методи перекладу на українську мову. Нанотехнології, як міждисциплінарна галузь, характеризуються інтенсивним розвитком, що обумовлює необхідність створення специфічного термінологічного апарату для опису складних процесів і явищ. Аналіз показав, що терміни у цій сфері поділяються на три групи: прості, похідні та складні, причому останні є найпоширенішими через необхідність опису багатокомпонентних наукових концептів. Дослідження ідентифікувало основні стратегії перекладу термінів, зокрема калькування, транспонування і семантичні трансформації. З’ясовано, що транспонування найбільш підходить для складних термінів, тоді як калькування застосовується для простих і похідних. Семантичні трансформації використовуються для адаптації значення до контексту. Результати роботи сприяють стандартизації термінології, що полегшує наукову комунікацію та інтеграцію української мови у глобальне наукове середовище. У перспективі дослідження спрямоване на розробку автоматизованих систем перекладу та аналіз впливу культурних особливостей на процес термінотворення.
dc.description.abstractotherThe article is focused on the study of English terminology in the field of nanotechnology with an emphasis on its structural and semantic features and methods of translation into Ukrainian. Nanotechnology, as an interdisciplinary field, is characterized by intensive development, which requires the creation of a specific terminological apparatus to describe complex processes and phenomena. The analysis showed that the terms in this field are divided into three groups: simple, derivative and complex, the latter being the most common due to the need to describe multicomponent scientific concepts. The study identified the main strategies for translating terms, including calquing, transposition, and semantic transformation. It was found that transposition is most suitable for complex terms, while calquing is used for simple and derivative terms. Semantic transformations are used to adapt the meaning to the context. The results of the work contribute to the standardization of terminology, which facilitates scientific communication and the integration of the Ukrainian language into the global scientific environment. In the future, the research is aimed at developing automated translation systems and analyzing the influence of cultural peculiarities on the process of term creation.
