dc.description.abstractУ статті проаналізовано кризу працевлаштування випускників Глухівського учительського інституту, яка мала такі прикметні ознаки. По-перше, істотно скоротилася кількість вакансій у міських училищах базового навчального округу. Так, 1882 р. тільки 37,5% випускників Глухівського інституту влаштувались у міських училищах Київського навчального округу. По-друге, виник значний часовий проміжок між закінченням навчання та працевлаштуванням — від кількох місяців до одного-двох років. Наприклад, близько половини випускників Глухівського інституту в 1887–1889 рр. отримували направлення на роботу через рік-два після отримання диплому. По-третє, погіршилася якість штатних посад, що пропонувалися випускникові. Так, 1885 р. 46% випускників інституту отримали направлення не в міські, а в сільські 2-класні училища Полтавської та Чернігівської губ.; 1888 р. вже 40% випускників направляються на роботу в сільські 2- та 1-класні й міські приходські училища. Завершення кризи 1898 р. пов’язуємо не стільки з інтенсивною розбудовою мережі міських училищ у Київському навчальному окрузі, скільки з вимушеним працевлаштуванням випускників інституту в освітніх закладах Одеського, Ризького, Варшавського навчальних округів.uk
dc.description.abstractotherThe article examines the systemic employment crisis faced by graduates of teacher training institutes in the Russian Empire from 1880 to 1902. The initial signs of the crisis were observed in educational districts such as Kazan, Vilna, Orenburg, and St. Petersburg since 1880. The focus is on the specific problem of employment for graduates of the Hlukhiv Teachers Training Institute during the period 1882–1897. Despite regional variations, the employment crisis exhibited similar causes and noticeable indicators. Firstly, there was a significant decrease in the number of vacancies in city schools within the basic educational district. For instance, in 1882, only 37.5% of Hlukhiv Teachers Training Institute graduates found employment in the city schools of the Kyiv educational district. Secondly, there was a considerable time gap between graduation and employment, ranging from several months to one or two years. For example, about half of the graduates of the Hlukhiv Institute in 1887–1889 started working a year or two after receiving their diploma. Thirdly, the quality of full-time positions offered to graduates declined. In 1885, 46% of the Institute’s graduates were assigned to rural second-class schools in Poltava and Chernihiv provinces, and in 1888, almost 40% were sent to work in rural schools of the 2nd and 1st classes and city parish schools. The crisis disproportionately affected graduates of Hlukhiv, Vilna, Orenburg, Kazan, and Belgorod teacher training institutes due to the limited number of city schools in the districts where they operated. The Ministry of Education partially alleviated the crisis by significantly reducing state orders for institutes in the 1880’s — 1890’s. However, the crisis only truly abated with the intensive development of a network of city schools in the 1890’s and early 1900s across the majority of educational districts in the Romanov Empire. By the early 1900s, this imbalance persisted only in the Kyiv educational district, forcing 50% of Hlukhiv Teachers Training Institute students to work in educational institutions in Odesa, Riga, and Warsaw educational districts.uk
