dc.description.abstractenThe article defines the value of the geometrical parameters of the font for the degree of readability. It is established that one of the methods to identify the impact on the readability of the geometric parameters of the font is the technique of association rules. As the geometrical parameters are invited to use the proportionality contrast, the size of the serif, the area and the perimeter of the sign, the ratio of size to the height of the symbol, the ratio of the width of the main stroke of the letter clearance letter «a» and «н» because they are important to create a font. The article explains that readability can be understood as the result of the measurement time, which can be read by the text in the given font (objective readability), and also as a result of a survey of experts by the method of paired comparisons regarding their opinions about the attractiveness and readability of the font (subjective readability). The object of the research was 26 fonts. The results revealed that the relationship between the parameters of the separating fonts into two groups (high and low readability) based on objective and subjective readability different. At the high readability of the font is affected by some parameters, and in low other.uk
