This thesis presents the development of a comprehensive manufacturing process plan for a Bottom Plate component used in stamping die assemblies. From the choice of raw materials to the last surface grinding step, the study covers every crucial facet of production. The Bottom Plate's geometry, purpose, and production requirements are examined. Its dimensions are 530 × 400 × 75 mm. A proposed process path includes surface grinding, CNC milling, radial drilling, and vertical milling. Dimensional information, surface finish specifications, and the proper cutting tools are used to support each machining process. To guarantee repeatable accuracy during CNC machining, special attention is paid to the fixture and clamping system design. For the best workpiece location, a hydraulic clamping arrangement with diamond and cylindrical locating pins was chosen (presented theoretically). Tool life, torque, and spindle speed are adjusted to the material properties of carbon steel 3 while cutting parameters and forces are computed empirically. Additionally, established economic models are used to generate estimates of machining time and cost. The outcomes attest to the suggested procedure's cost-effectiveness and technical viability. In the framework of contemporary process planning for precision metal components, this work illustrates the combination of CAD modeling, empirical computations, and fixture design.
