The textbook provides classroom and individual lessons for second year students of the Faculty of Sociology and Law. The publication consists of fourteen sections (Units), which cover professionally oriented topics: "Why we need law", "English Law and the English Judicial System", "The Us Court system", "The Nuremberg Trial", "Crown Court in session", "A Police-court", "The Houses of Parliament", "The International Court of Justice", "What is a crime?", "Imposition of penalties", "Capital Punishment ", "The British Police", "Role of Police Force", "Education to become a lawyer". The developed exercises are aimed at developing and improving the skills in reading, speaking, listening, writing and translation, as well as improving the lexical and grammatical knowledge of students. The aim of the textbook is to promote the expansion of the professional thesaurus of students, to generate interest in communicating in English and to increase students' motivation for learning and future profession.
