Документ Відкритий доступ Change in the ellipticity of radiation in magneto-optical crystals under magneto-mechanical resonance conditions(Scientific Collection «InterConf», 2022) Linchevskyi, Igor ValentinovichIt is shown that in magneto-optical crystals with both the Faraday effect and birefringence, it is possible to change the ellipticity of polarized radiation due to a change in the magnetization component parallel to the direction of light propagation. Changes in the ellipticity of the radiation are resonant in the region of frequencies of longitudinal magnetomechanical oscillations of the crystal.Документ Відкритий доступ Modulation of optical radiation in composite structures(International Science Group, 2023-05) Linchevskyi, Igor ValentinovichFrequency dependences for the amplitude and initial phase of the variable component of the Faraday effect are obtained. It is shown that when a magneto-optical crystal is placed between a magneto-passive substrate and a magnetostrictive ferite, the mechanical stresses in the crystal are additionally enhanced under the conditions of magnetomechanical resonance. An additional increase in the variable component of the Faraday effect can reach 50% compared to a single-layer structure. It is shown that the type of modulator under consideration is characterized by an initial phase delay of the variable component of the Faraday effect up to 30–60 at the time of resonanceДокумент Відкритий доступ On the azimuth variation of polarized radiation in magneto-optical crystals with faraday effect and birefringence(2022) Linchevskyi, Igor ValentinovichIt is shown that in magneto-optical crystals possessing simultaneously the Faraday effect and the birefringence, the normal linear polarized waves transited through the crystal become correlated. For samples with longitudinal magnetic fields, which ensure the rotation of the plane of polarization at the level of π values, changes in ellipticity are possible, up to a change in the direction of rotation of the polarization ellipse to the opposite direction.
