The COVID-19 pandemic and war in Ukraine pose unique challenges to education. Online learning revealed digital readiness, while war added complications to synchronous classes. Asynchronous instruction addresses obstacles and maintains education. Research shows online learning effectiveness depends on various factors. Flexibility and access to resources are crucial during war. Effective organization, communication, and assessment strategies ensure productive asynchronous learning. Findings support asynchronous instruction as a means to mitigate the impact of war. These prerequisites promote quality education in challenging circumstances.
