Multimodal text as a game-based tool in ESP

The media space is a huge network web created by electronic and printed resources, allowing individuals, groups of people or entire communities to easily interact with each other to receive or transmit information. Nowadays, it is almost impossible to imagine a world without media, and the educational process – without multimodal texts. Every day, a large number of technologies and projects appear in the world that will help not only simplify a person’s life, but also save their time. The rapid accumulation of knowledge and its practical use for profit or self-development is what interests modern young people. That is why todaymost educational content, including ESP content, is moving into a new mode – gamebased online learning using multimodal text. This makes it possible to transmit a colossal amount of information in a fairly short time and simplify difficult-tounderstand material. This method turns monotonous lectures and scientific works into a game.
