The relevance of neutralization of such a phonological feature as «voiced» of Germanic consonant and the variety of vowel phonemes duration is established. At the same time, basic parameters of the interfered phonetic system of Slovak bilinguals’ English speech on suprasegmental level were allocated and codified. The results have been interpreted in comparison with the speeches o f a high-ranking male officer. It is stated that the syntagmas duration in the female officer s speeches is shorter than in the male officer’s ones, correlates with the faster tempo perception, and depends on their location within a speech text. The research proves the importance of further study of prosodic elements in high-ranking female officers’ speeches to reveal the gender conditioned features of the military discourse.Документ Відкритий доступ Комбінаторна варіативність наголошених голосних фонем у спонтанному німецькому мовленні(Міленіум, 2017) Кузьменко, Тетяна МиколаївнаThe paper advances the determination of main features of stressed vowels’ reduction in modern German. According to the results of auditory experiment aimed at distinguishing the stressed vowels’ realization in spontaneous speech, the author defines the degree of vowel phonemes differential markers’ in stability. V.The paper focuses on the problem of teaching English pronunciation in the ESP classroom. The paper is an attempt to answer the question of how to make it an interesting and engaging way while keeping the general course on professionalization of study. Several ways of interesting pronunciation teaching are proposed: phonetic spelling, sounds recognition, mimicking, tongue twisters, and limericks. The methodology of the experiment is elaborated according to the proven techniques in contemporary phonetics and combines the use of subjective (perceptive and auditory), objective (acoustic) methods, the methods of semantic differential and quantitative data analysis.
