dc.description.abstractПурик Р. І. Особливості перекладу англомовних маркерів мовної особистості кіногероя (на матеріалі серіалу “The Big Bang Theory”). Кваліфікаційна робота на правах рукопису. Дисертація на здобуття ступеня магістра зі спеціальності 035 «Філологія». КПІ ім. Ігоря Сікорського, Київ, 2025. У кваліфікаційній роботі розглянуто сутність поняття мовної особистості, з’ясовано особливості англомовного кінодискурсу та встановлено основні мовні маркери персонажа Шелдона Купера, на підставі яких визначено тип його мовної особистості. Проаналізовано лексичні, граматичні, стилістичні й прагматичні маркери персонажа, з’ясовано особливості їхнього відтворення в українському перекладі, окреслено основні перекладацькі трансформації та здійснено їх кількісний аналіз. Наукова новизна роботи полягає у першому комплексному аналізі англомовних маркерів мовної особистості персонажа телевізійного серіалу в межах перекладознавчого підходу. Уперше систематизовано мовні та стилістико-прагматичні характеристики Шелдона Купера на матеріалі корпусу його реплік та визначено особливості їхнього відтворення українською мовою з урахуванням специфіки аудіовізуального перекладу. Практичне значення здобутих результатів полягає у можливості їх застосування в подальших дослідженнях мовної особистості, удосконаленні методики аналізу стилістичних і прагматичних особливостей персонажів телесеріалів, а також у підготовці фахівців у галузі перекладу, зокрема аудіовізуального. Апробація результатів дослідження. Qualifying research work (manuscript). Thesis for a Master’s degree in speciality 035 “Philology”. Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Kyiv, 2025. The qualification work examines the conceptual foundations of linguistic identity, clarifies the key features of English-language film discourse, and identifies the principal linguistic markers of the character Sheldon Cooper, which serve as the basis for determining his linguistic identity. The study analyses the character’s lexical, grammatical, stylistic, and pragmatic markers, outlines the specificities of their rendering in the Ukrainian translation, identifies the main translation transformations applied, and provides their quantitative analysis. The originality of the research lies in the first comprehensive description of English-language markers of a television character’s linguistic identity within a translation-oriented framework. For the first time, the linguistic and stylistic-pragmatic characteristics of Sheldon Cooper have been systematised on the basis of a corpus of his utterances, and the specific features of their reproduction in Ukrainian have been defined with regard to the constraints of audiovisual translation. The practical significance of the obtained results is that the thesis contributes to contemporary translation studies by deepening the understanding of linguistic identity in audiovisual discourse and elucidating the mechanisms for rendering its markers in Ukrainian. The findings may be used in further research on linguistic identity, in developing methodologies for analysing stylistic and pragmatic features of television characters, and in training specialists in translation practice, particularly in audiovisual translation.
