The first part of the work presents a study of the of features to access the passport data of metalworking equipment. Database on technical characteristics of vertical processing centers HAAS Series VF is examined. The second chapter presents a technological section dedicated to the selection of the workpiece and the manufacturing technology of the part. Calculations of cutting regimes, process operations and CNC tools are given. In the third section, the design of machine tools for providing machining of the part is provided. The required calculations for the fastening efforts have been completed. These appendices present the processing routes and operations, and the control program code for the CNC machine. Throughout the project, I have referenced 59 literature sources, including manuals, guides, handbooks, catalogs, standards, articles, and scientific research. The graphical part of the project consists of 8 A1-size sheets, showcasing various aspects such as the static study results, detailed drawings, 3D representations of the part and the workpiece, graphical depictions of the technological transitions, and their visualization in the CAM system. Furthermore, assembly drawings of the machine devices and technological transition schemes for two operations are included. Within the diploma project, I have addressed the following aspects: • I explored the issue of deformation of the workpiece when machining. • I proposed an alternative solution to a specific problem, highlighting its advantages and drawbacks. • I designed a 3D model of the jaw part and provided its detailed drawings. • I conducted an analysis of the part's functional purpose and working conditions within the assembly. • I performed a brief analysis of the manufacturability of the part's design. • I selected the appropriate method for manufacturing the workpiece, developed a 3D model of the workpiece, and created its detailed drawings. • I justified the selection of technological foundations for all the operations within the manufacturing process. • I devised the operational technological process for manufacturing the jaw part. • I determined the required allowances for all the machined surfaces of the workpiece. • I standardized the technological operations for producing the part. • I developed the necessary technological documentation, including processing routes, and operations. • I designed the construction of the machine device and its 3D model, conducting all the necessary calculations to determine the required clamping force. • I calculated the manufacturing cost of the part. The attached annex pages at the end of the diploma project include a comprehensive report of the static study conducted on the jaw part using Fusion 360. The study4 focused on assessing the structural weaknesses of the part during the drilling of tapped countersunk holes F5 and F6. The study report provides valuable insights into the deformations that occurred and their visual representations. Chapter 1 focuses on the analysis of the purpose and operating conditions of the part in the assembly unit. It includes an analysis of the part's working conditions, material analysis, and determining the type of production. Additionally, it covers the selection of the base process, design of the blank, and locating scheme selection. The locating scheme selection is further divided into two parts: rationale for the choice of general manufacturing datum and rationale for the selection of manufacturing datum for the first manufacturing operations. Furthermore, it involves the design of the typical surfaces processing routes and the operational manufacturing process plan. A brief description of manufacturing equipment and cutting tools, along with cutting conditions selection, is also provided. Lastly, the chapter encompasses time and cost calculations. Mechanical engineering technology is the science of methods of manufacturing machine parts and mechanisms. There are two main problems in mechanical engineering technology: the problem of product manufacturing quality and the problem of labor productivity. Each of these problems includes a number of other, more narrow and specific problems, for example, reliability and durability, geometric and functional interchangeability, manufacturability, automation of technological processes and management functions in all types of production and, finally, the problem of maximizing the effectiveness of scientific research works. This diploma project is aimed at solving specific problems in the field of improving technologies, improving the technical and economic indicators of manufacturing parts. In this diploma work, the technological process of processing the "bearing housing" part is developed, the possibilities of the proposed technological process are evaluated to ensure the necessary accuracy of the design dimensions, the determination of cutting modes, the development of the device for one technological operation, and the development necessary for the implementation of the technological process in the conditions of the production of technological documentation. Modern mechanical engineering is used in almost all spheres of human life activity, achieved great success in increasing its efficiency and eventually turned into a technological base of the industry, which determines the level technical development of the country and its security. Mechanical engineering technology, as a branch of science, is engaged in the study of technological processes of manufacturing mechanical engineering products in order to use the research results to ensure the required quality and quantity of products with the highest technical and economic indicators. Modern technology is developing in the following main directions: creation of new materials; development of new technological principles, methods, processes, equipment; mechanisation and automation of technological processes that reduces direct human participation in them. Construction of the material and technical base and the need for continuous increasing labor productivity on the basis of modern means of production poses rather responsible tasks for mechanical engineering. They include improving the quality of machines, reducing their material consumption, labor intensity and cost of production, normalisation and the unification of their elements, the introduction of current methods of production, its mechanisation and automation, as well as shortening the terms of preparation for the production of new objects. The solution of the indicated problems is provided by improving the design of machines, improving the technology of production, application progressive means and methods of production.In connection with the continuously growing requirements for the quality of products, rapid changes in the range of products increase the amount of technological preparation of production per unit of time. Thus, a problem arises, which is that a technologist in modern conditions must perform not only a larger volume of work, but also do it at a higher quality level. Solving this problem involves automating the technologist's work, and this, in turn, requires further development of the scientific foundations of mechanical engineering technology. It consists of 96 sheets of A4 format. In the first chapter, determination of the value of the linear elastic deformation of the shaft during turning was evaluated. Elements of the cutting force were calculated according to the analytical equation and CAE system was utilized to estimate the displacement of the shaft. The objective of this work is development of the manufacturing process for the "Adapter " part. First, the drawing of a part was analyzed and a 3D model was developed using CAD software. Next steps include: development of the sequence of machining operations, selection of CNC machine and a workpiece clamping device, as well as cutting tools, and cutting conditions. The control program for CNC machine was developed using CAM software. Economic calculations were performed for the first manufacturing operation. The first chapter is devoted to calculation of workpiece deformations. The sequence of the production process was developed, including the selection of CNC machines, cutting tools, cutting conditions, etc. For two specific production processes, the fixture was selected and the corresponding settings were developed.
